Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
The short version: Interruptible doesn’t collect any data. What you save stays on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, and we never receive it. There’s no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The only thing we ever hold is an email address you give us on this website to hear when the app is out.
This policy covers the Interruptible iPhone app and its website, interruptible.app (also at clickingnook.com/interruptible). Both are operated by Clicking Nook LLC (“we,” “us”), a company based in Oklahoma, USA.
What you save
The words you write, the times you saved them, and any reminder you set are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. The app doesn’t send them over the internet, so they never reach us or anyone else.
If you back up your iPhone with iCloud Backup or to a computer, that backup includes the app’s storage, the same as other apps. Backups are yours and handled by Apple or your computer; we can’t open them. There’s no sync between devices.
Reminders
A reminder is a local notification, scheduled by your iPhone. It shows your words once at the time you picked. Nothing about it is sent to us or to a push service. iOS asks for notification permission the first time you set one, and you can turn notifications off in Settings › Notifications › Interruptible.
Siri, Shortcuts and the Action Button
“Save to Interruptible” and “What was I doing in Interruptible?” are app actions that run on your iPhone. When you save by voice, Siri turns your speech into text and hands the text to the app; Apple’s own privacy policy covers that step. Reading back what you saved only works on an unlocked iPhone, so your words aren’t read aloud from a locked phone.
What the app doesn’t do
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code that collects data.
- No servers: the app makes no network calls of its own.
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. That sharing is controlled by you and handled by Apple.
Purchases
The one-time purchase goes through Apple and the App Store. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app only learns whether the purchase was made, so it can unlock.
Deleting your data
Toss anything you saved and it’s deleted from the app. Deleting the app deletes everything it saved from your iPhone. We hold no copy, so there’s nothing for us to delete on our side. An iPhone backup made earlier keeps its copy until that backup is replaced or deleted.
The website’s launch list
If you sign up on this website to hear when Interruptible is out, we collect: your email address; which app’s list you joined, and when; an optional referral tag from the link you followed (for example “reddit”); and a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, used only to block spam sign-ups, which can’t be turned back into your IP address and is deleted within about 24 hours.
We use your email only to tell you when Interruptible is available, and we won’t email you about anything else unless you ask. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. The list is stored with Convex, our database provider, and this website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. We don’t sell or share your email. The website has no analytics, ads or tracking pixels.
Children
Interruptible isn’t directed at children under 13. The app collects nothing from anyone, children included, and the website’s launch list is for people 13 and older. If you think a child under 13 has signed up, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects what the app collects, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect.
